Below is the Step-By-Step Guide to Setting up a Secure Coinbase Account:

1. You will need a Pen, Paper, Computer and Cell Phone.

2. Go to Coinbase.com

3. Click Sign Up.

4. Enter the associated information on the individual tab, including your new Protonmail.com email account you just created.

5. Create a section on your paper titled “coinbase”

6. Write down a 14 or more character password.

7. Verify you are human

8. Verify you are 18 years of age or older.

9. Click, Create Account.

10. Log into your Protonmail.com email to verify your email from coinbase.

11. Open Email from Coinbase in your protonmail.com account.

12. Click “Verify Email Account.”

13. By clicking on this account, this will either direct you back to the coinbase website or you may need to go back to coinbase.com manually.

14. Enter your phone number on the coinbase website.

15. Click Next

16. You will receive a text from coinbase.

17. Enter the seven digit code in the received text on the computer

18. Click Verify

19. Click “Settings” on Coinbase

20. Scroll down to “Two-Factor Identification”

21. On the coinbase account on computer click “Enable Authenticator”

22. You will receive a text message code on your phone.

23. Click Verify.

24. Go to your cell phone “Google Authenticator App”

25. Click the “+” button on the upper right hand corner of your screen.

26. Click “Scan barcode”

27. Write Down “Authenticator Secret Code” above the QR Code.

28. Scan the scan code on computer screen. ** MAKE SURE NOBODY ELSE CAN SCAN THIS CODE **

29. Enter the new Google Authenticator code from the cell phone into the coinbase 2-Step Verification box

30. Click “Enable”Your Account should be much more secure.

31. Store Written down information in a safe and secure place.

32. You should never access your coinbase or email account unless you are sending, receiving, buying or selling your cryptocurrency.

What is Google Authenticator

Google Authenticator produces a new random set of 6 numbers that are specific to the QR Code that you scanned on your phone. This makes it very difficult to hack an account.

If you purchase CryptoCoins through Coinbase:

1. It can take up to two weeks before you will be able to see your coins in your wallet.

2. You can confirm your transaction went through and the price you bought it at by seeing/clicking on “Pending” status of the coin.T

3. he 2 week wait time can occur when exchanging CryptoCurrency back to your Bank.
